In a huge victory for Brooklyn Park renters, ACER successfully advocated for a mixed-income housing policy for the city of Brooklyn Park. The policy ensures that new housing developments must offer 5 percent of units at 30 percent of the area median income, maintaining a fair and affordable rate for the city’s lowest-income renters. It also stipulates that those units must be preserved as affordable housing for 20 years.
