Wow! Another successful Family Fun Day! Thank you to all our community members who attended and made the day a fun and lively event.
Luckily the weather was sunny, so everyone–kids, parents, and people of all ages–got to enjoy casual lawn games, diverse cultural music, and good hearty food prepared by a local restaurant, SAAMKY Catering. It was great to see so many happy community members excited to receive their raffle prizes and benefit from the numerous resources at our community fair. We had the opportunity to provide attendees with an excellent variety of resources including mental health services, education, dental services for children, career support, vaccines (33 people received a COVID-19 vaccination, 5 received a first dose and 28 received booster doses), snack packs, and more. Of course, we could not have done any of this without the assistance and support of our community partners, vendors, and volunteers.
