Acer’s Impact
ACER works alongside African immigrant and other BIPOC communities in the northwest suburbs of the Twin Cities to advance equity, opportunity, and community power. Through organizing and leadership development, ACER supports residents in civic participation, voter engagement, and local decision-making. We strengthen small and micro-businesses through free technical assistance, training, grants, and wealth-building initiatives that support long-term economic stability. ACER also addresses health inequities by coordinating community-based health initiatives and partnerships, while advancing housing justice through tenant organizing, policy advocacy, and protections that help prevent displacement.
